It’s never too early for the holidays! Celebrate the season at the MLK Library’s Holiday Decor Swap! On September 6, bring your gently used holiday decorations and exchange them for new-to-you festive treasures. Refresh your collection in a fun, sustainable, budget-friendly way while helping reduce waste and give quality items a second life.
Holiday Decor Swap Details
The library accepts decorations for the following holidays:
- Halloween
- Thanksgiving
- Christmas
- Kwanzaa
- Hanukkah
- New Year’s Day
- Valentine’s Day
- St. Patrick’s Day
- Easter
- Pride
- July 4th
Drop-off begins at 1:00 p.m. Come on time, drop off your items for sorting and organizing so that you can swap hassle-free. Attendees who wish to participate can bring up to 15 pieces of holiday decorations. (You MUST bring in items to leave with items).
Please be mindful to bring only items that are gently used, new, and clean. Stained, dirty, rusty, moldy, damaged, faulty decorations, and decorations with unpleasant odors will NOT be accepted. Unacceptable items include: toys, clothing, shoes, costumes, and accessories.
Please note that any items that do not comply with the event guidelines will be disposed of.
