About The Event

Join the Downtown DC Day Services Center and Metropolitan Police Department for the Faith & Blue Community Engagement Event on Friday, October 9, from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the park adjacent by the New York Avenue Presbyterian Church.

This community gathering brings together neighbors, community partners, and organizations supporting Downtown DC’s unhoused community. The event will feature coats and winter weather supplies, resource tables, and lunch in the park, giving attendees an opportunity to connect with local organizations and learn more about available services and support.

HIPS, the H3 Project, the DowntownDC Foundation, and more community partners will be on site to share information about their programs, resources, and services. The event will begin with opening remarks from Rev. Dr. Beth Braxton, followed by time to connect with community partners, access essential resources, and enjoy a shared meal.
