About The Event
Experience powerful storytelling at the 2026 DC/DOX Film Festival, taking place June 11–14, 2026, with an ambitious lineup of 113 documentary films from 32 countries. From world premieres and filmmaker Q&As to special guests and thought-provoking conversations, the four-day festival transforms Downtown DC into a hub for artistic visions, documentary storytelling and cultural exchange.
Featuring 64 features, 49 shorts, and a special retrospective honoring legendary filmmaker Frederick Wiseman, the 2026 edition explores urgent issues, intimate personal journeys, and bold artistic perspectives that reflect the depth and diversity of documentary filmmaking today.

Held concurrently with the festival, the Reality Check Forum, taking place from June 12 – 14, brings together convening filmmakers, industry leaders, journalists, and policymakers for panels, workshops, and masterclasses exploring the urgent questions shaping our world — and the evolving craft of nonfiction cinema itself.
