Change up the lunch hour and drop in for one of these free classes at the MLK Library’s Digital Commons in November.

From 12-2pm on Tuesdays, come for eReader Show & Tell. Staff will demonstrate how to download movies, music, books and other media including language-learning and test-prep tools from the library’s digital collection. Bring in your own device (tablet, smartphone, laptop, etc) or test-drive theirs.

Forget the shushing librarian. On Wednesday, November 6, make some noise and kick off your rockstar career at a Garageband course from noon til 12:45pm. Learn to create original music in this class, which repeats on November 20. Space is limited to four lucky rockers so get there early.

Heard about 3-D printing but can’t picture how it works? On Thursday, November 14, you can literally try it on for size! Make your own 3-D rings, bracelets, and charms with help from the Digital Commons staff. Then impress friends and family at Thanksgiving by not only explaining how the technology works, but wearing your beautiful print-outs.
