The clothing retailer’s grand opening on Wednesday, April 25, had the store buzzing with Maxxinistas, who were out in full force. Missed out on the action? The discount store that sells brand name and designer fashions at up to 60% off department store prices will be open Monday through Saturday from 8:00 am to 9:30 pm, and on Sunday from 11:00 am to 8:00 pm. Located in the Homer Building, T. J. Maxx faces F Street, DC’s oldest retail corridor, and fills a much-needed void left by Filene’s Basement closing its store at 529 14th Street—just a block away—last winter. To all the men, teens and kids out there: yes, the Maxx does, indeed, offer clothing and other merchandise for you as well.
