The Dubliner has tasting events starting the Friday prior to St. Patrick’s Day, and on March 17 its doors will open at 9:00 a.m. for a day with 49-cent pints, DJ Harry Hotter, three bands, six bars, and the Irish pub’s full menu.

St. Patrick’s Day Celebration

For those looking to avoid crowds and take in a more traditional experience, Kelly’s Irish Times will have live music and Irish dancing to honor the day. The bar will also be open as usual on March 17.

Sola Nua has a long tradition of providing the District with free Irish literature on St. Patrick’s Day, and this year they will celebrate creative nonfiction Irish literature. Learn from three Dublin-based writers, hear a mix of readings, converse, and see performances.

St. Patrick’s Day With the Irish Brigade

Clara Barton Missing Soldiers Office Museum, 437 7th Street NW

Explore the stories of the surgeons and wounded soldiers of one of the most recognizable brigades from the Civil War with a presentation on the Irish Brigade’s service from the Battle of First Bull Run to Appomattox and beyond.

Clover Whiskey Tasting
