Congratulations to the five women named honorees in the Washington Business Journal’s 2011 Women Who Mean Business awards, recognizing the most influential women in the DC area. The recipients represent established business leaders who have made a difference in their communities, blazed a trail for others and left a mark on DC area businesses. They are:
- Susan Davis, chairman and founder, Susan David International (1101 K Street), a full-service communications and public relations firm.
- Anita Estell, shareholder and attorney lobbyist, Polsinelli Shughart PC (1152 15th Street), one of the nation’s Top 100 law firms.
- Nicola Goren, president, Washington Area Women’s Foundation (1411 K Street), a non-profit organization devoted to transforming the lives of economically vulnerable women and girls.
- Deryl McKissack, chief executive officer, McKissack & McKissack (1401 New York Avenue), a full-service architecture and program/construction management firm.
- Helen Stefan Moreau, president and owner, The Midtown Group, Inc. (900 7th Street), professional career consultants.
