On Board the Greening Train
|
If your organization is looking to reduce its carbon footprint, join the DowntownDC BID and goDCgo when they host Transportation and Your Organization’s Green Initiatives, a free seminar taking place on Wednesday, November 2.
Learn how to more closely align transportation with your organization’s green initiatives; increase participation in your existing transportation benefits program; make it easy for employees to choose sustainable travel modes; and see how your organization stacks up against other DC employers.
After all, transportation is the second largest contributor to greenhouse gas emissions, according to the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). And the way your employees get to and from work each day, in addition to how they travel throughout the day, can greatly impact your organization’s carbon footprint.
Ellen Jones, the DowntownDC BID’s director of Infrastructure and Sustainability, and Tarryn Lee, goDCgo’s manager of business development, will conduct the hour-long seminar from 9:30 am to 10:30 am at BID headquarters (1250 H Street NW). In addition to helping individuals make more informed choices about daily travel, goDCgo, the District Department of Transportation’s (DDOT) sustainable travel program, works with employers looking to start or expand a transit benefit program.
For more information about Employer Services or to participate in the seminar, RSVP at info@goDCgo.com by Wednesday, October 26.
