The District will be in full swing with all things baseball during Major League Baseball’s All-Star Week July 13-17!

As part of the festivities surrounding the 89th Annual MLB All-Star Game, DowntownDC fans can enjoy the largest interactive baseball theme park in the world at the GEICO All-Star FanFest at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center (801 Mt. Vernon Place).

Themes for each day provide a ton of fun including programming and promotional giveaways. July 13th is Kids’ Day, July 14 and 15 are Military Appreciation Weekend, July 16 is Social Media Monday and July 17 is Youth League Day. Hours of operation for the FanFest are 9am-8pm July 13-16, and 9am-7pm on July 17. Single day ticket prices range from $15-$35, and fans can also take advantage of special discounts — there’s the FanFest Family Four Pack, FanFest Buy One, Get One Free Friday and FanFest Two for Tuesday.

Several MLB Legends are scheduled to make appearances at FanFest, including Rick Ankiel, Johnny Bench, Sean Burnett, Bert Campaneris and many, many more. Attractions include the National Baseball Hall of Fame & Museum, a social media wall and the world’s largest baseball, so be sure to bring your camera!

To accommodate fans, Metro will stay open at least one hour past its usual 11:30 pm weeknight closing time for both the Home Run Derby on July 16 and the All-Star Game at Nationals Park on July 17. Should either event surpass that time, the Navy Yard Metro station will remain in service until 30 minutes after each event’s conclusion.

Events will be happening across the city for All-Star Week.
