Luxury fashion is making its way to the National Museum of Women in the Arts (NMWA) (1250 New York Ave) through Rodarte, an exhibition opening Nov. 10 which will feature the fashion house of the same name founded by sisters Kate and Laura Mulleavy.

Since its establishment in 2005, Rodarte has garnered critical acclaim across the fashion and art industries. NMWA will highlight the designers’ concepts, craftsmanship and impact in fashion through exploration of their design principles, material concerns and recurring themes. Nearly 100 complete runway looks will be on view, showcasing the Mulleavy sisters’ most influential work.

Programming surrounding the exhibition includes an opening party on Friday, Nov. 9, as well as a series of lunchtime gallery talks.

Rodarte is NMWA’s first fashion exhibit and will be on view from Nov. 10, 2018-Feb. 10, 2019.
