Performed by the Congressional Chorus and joined by a host of collaborators, this virtual concert will pay homage to some of the greatest Black women composers, arrangers and performers from various generations of music. The program will range from classical, jazz, folk, and gospel selections. We are honored to be featuring as guest artists: Afro Blue from Howard University, Brandie Sutton from the Metropolitan Opera and Dr. Leah Claiborne from the University of the District Of Columbia. Featuring an all black female band accompanying the chorus, this show is not one to miss!

Some FAQs:

How do I view the concert? You can view the concert on our YouTube page. Check back here on concert night for the link. We will also send out emails with the link once it’s live that evening.

How much are tickets? The concert is free but we are asking folks to make a suggested donation of $20 (or whatever you can give!). You can donate at any time here.

Is the concert a live stream? Will I be able to watch it at a different time if I can’t make it on Saturday night? The link you’ll receive after you RSVP will be a regular YouTube link, so you can play, pause, or rewind without missing a beat. All the content has been pre-recorded. The link will also be live on our website and YouTube page after Saturday night for you to watch as many times as you’d like. Think of it like a Netflix show premiere!
