Join SAAM curators Karen Lemmey, Grace Yasumura, and Tobias Wofford on February 26 at 5:30 PM for a Gallery Talk on The Shape of Power: Stories of Race and American Sculpture. This engaging tour invites visitors to explore how sculpture has shaped and challenged ideas of race in the U.S., featuring 82 works spanning 1792 to 2023.

Gain insight into the exhibition’s powerful juxtapositions of historical and contemporary pieces, drawn from SAAM’s vast collection, and discover how artists have used sculpture as a means of resistance, liberation, and identity.
