Mayor Muriel Bowser invites District residents to join her for the ninth annual FITDC Fresh Start 5K at Freedom Plaza at 11:00 a.m. on January 1, 2023.
The 5K will begin promptly from the starting line located at 1455 Pennsylvania Avenue, right by the plaza. Residents are encouraged to take public transportation: Freedom Plaza is just a two-block walk from the Metro Center metro stop (red, blue, sliver, and orange lines) and a five-block walk from the Gallery Place/Chinatown metro stop (red, yellow, and green lines).
Residents can register for free online ahead of time or in person at Freedom Plaza starting at 10:00 a.m. on January 1. Participants will receive a commemorative T-shirt, runner’s bib, and other giveaways.
