Step into wonder with Horizon and E/Motion, two interactive public art installations at Franklin Park now on display through the end of September.
Horizon invites you to sink into egg-shaped cocoons that rock gently as you gaze upward. Inside, a canopy of light transforms into starry skies, soaring birds, or calming patterns, creating a serene escape in the heart of downtown. Whether you choose to daydream solo or share the moment with a friend, the soft glow, natural materials, and immersive soundscapes transport you to a space that feels both intimate and infinite.
Just steps away, E/Motion reimagines the classic seesaw with a glowing, ocean-inspired twist. As you and a partner move up and down, illuminated waves ripple beneath you, handlebars sparkle like water droplets, and soundscapes echo the sea. Both playful and mesmerizing, this interactive experience invites all ages to rediscover the joy of movement and connection.
Together, Horizon and E/Motion transform Franklin Park into a destination for creativity, community, and delight. Open and free for everyone to enjoy. Take a pictures and share the wonder. Tag us at @downtowndcbid #horizonontour #emotionontour #seesawselfie
