That’s why you can’t miss Go Go Rhythms Exposed! with Dante Pope, a percussion based workshop teaching young musicians about the percussive instruments that play a part in a creating the sound that is GoGo! Sticks will be provided. 🥁

Bring your kids on October 19 and 20, November 16 and December 14, 11 AM – 12 PM right at the newly renovated Franklin Park.

Dante Pope uses his roots based in the church to uplift and continue the legacy of Black American Music. Dante is a GRAMMY Board member in the Washington, DC Chapter, and was featured on the 2019 GRAMMY-nominated album called, ‘Black Cowboys.’ The project, a collaboration with Smithsonian Folkways and GRAMMY award-winning artist Dom Flemons, co-founder of the group, the Carolina Chocolate drops.

Since 2007, Dante’ Pope has worked within education as a music instructor, administrator and contractor to schools based in Chicago and the Washington,DC public and charter school systems. His passions for percussion and music production comes through in each session and has been showcased with a host of performing arts center, music conservatories and DC public and charter school systems.
