See the possibilities of city planning through young eyes. Kindergarteners through second graders from every D.C. Public School in the city spent six weeks exploring their school communities as part of an art project planned in partnership with the Museum. Several classes visited the Museum to learn about city planning, and Museum educators worked with teachers on professional development related to urban design. In this culminating event, students from eight schools, one from each Ward of D.C., take over the Great Hall to design a cardboard city of their dreams.
