The physical presence of books has always been a source of inspiration for Niffenegger, whether assembling her own library, imagining fictional ones, or creating books herself. Niffenegger’s artists’ books include The Three Incestuous Sisters (2005), The Adventuress (2006), Raven Girl (2013) and Bizarre Romance (with graphic artist Eddie Campbell, 2018).
