This June 8 screening is canceled. There will be a makeup screening on Thursday, July 20. The film for that date is TBD, pending other possible cancellations due to weather.
The Metropolitan Washington Council of Governments and District Department of Energy and Environment has issued a “Code Purple” air quality alert for Washington, D.C., for Thursday, June 8. A Code Purple air quality alert indicates very unhealthy air conditions for the entire public, not just those with respiratory illnesses. All groups should stay indoors as much as possible. The DowntownDC Summer Flicks – CAN I KICK IT? movie series is back for its sixth season at Franklin Park! This free event series begins June 1 and will run every Thursday evening through July 13. Join us for action-packed films, live DJs, and more.

The movie on Thursday, June 8, will be Mission: Impossible (PG-13). Seating starts at 7:30 p.m., when you can enjoy music by Shaolin Jazz‘s own DJ 2-Tone Jones and special guest DJ Donwill. The movie starts at sunset.
