Washington, DC – The DowntownDC Business Improvement District (BID) and CoR Advisors® announced today plans for the 2012 Building Energy Summit (www.dcenergysummit.com), which will be held on Thursday, March 15, 2012 at the Ronald Reagan Building and International Trade Center in Washington, DC.
“The DowntownDC ecoDistrict is positioned to lead the nation in energy efficiency,” said Richard H. Bradley, executive director of the DowntownDC BID. “This conference will provide a valuable forum in which to launch the White House Better Buildings Challenge and work with building owners and managers to take advantage of many different cost savings and energy reduction resources.”
The 2012 Building Energy Summit will provider owners and managers with the tools to significantly reduce energy consumption and costs. At the same time, attendees will leave with a step-by-step roadmap for benchmarking their buildings, monitoring real time energy usage, analyzing operational data, making efficient upgrades and changes, and integrating the latest technologies to significantly cut energy consumption.
The Summit will combine keynote presentations by industry leaders and energy experts, educational breakout sessions for hands-on learning, case study presentations demonstrating real projects and real results, and networking opportunities for collaborating with colleagues and solution providers. Speakers will present case studies of some of the most efficient buildings in town which have slashed energy costs up to 40%.
