PRISM at Anthem Row is a two-weekend extravaganza of fashion, art, and unapologetic self-expression featuring immersive art installations, drag-infused dance parties and thought-provoking panels
During the two featured Saturdays, attendees are also invited to take part in a curated clothing swap — a joyful celebration of Pride and community that gives garments a second life, reduces waste, and encourages more thoughtful fashion choices
WASHINGTON, D.C. (May 28, 2025) – The DowntownDC Business Improvement District (BID) today announced PRISM at Anthem Row, a two-weekend celebration of fashion, art and fierce self-expression in honor of World Pride. Taking place May 31–June 1 and June 7–8 from 12:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. each day, PRISM will transform downtown D.C. into a vibrant hub of creativity, sustainability, and LGBTQIA+ pride. With immersive art, high-energy dance parties, sustainable fashion activations and inspiring storytelling, PRISM invites the community to show up, show off, and celebrate what makes D.C. shine.

“We’re proud to host PRISM at Anthem Row during World Pride, a vibrant celebration that reflects the diversity, creativity, and resilience of our LGBTQIA+ community,” said Gerren Price, President and CEO, DowntownDC BID. “Through partnerships with incredible organizations and artists, PRISM embodies the spirit of inclusivity and innovation that defines downtown D.C., and we can’t wait to share this unforgettable experience with residents and visitors alike.”
The free, all-ages event will feature a dynamic range of experiences designed to engage, empower, and uplift. Throughout both weekends, visitors can explore large-scale art installations, including The PRISM, an aerial sculpture casting rainbows over Anthem Row, and a vibrant thread canopy by internationally acclaimed artist HOT TEA.
Additional programming includes:
- PRISM SPEAKS — A main-stage series featuring panels and guest speakers exploring the intersections of queer culture, fashion, sustainability, and social impact.
- Sustainable Makers Market — Shop 25+ local makers crafting repurposed fashion and accessories all day at the PRISM marketplace.
- Swap for Your Life — Attendees are invited to bring their own gently-used clothing and accessories to swap their way to a new, sustainable look during the Swap For Your Life clothes swap. Further instructions can be found here.
- Drag Bar — Sip signature tropical cocktails, bask in the glow of art-inspired design, and vibe to DJ-spun beats while drag royalty brings the glam.
- Drag Zumba — On May 31 from 2:00–2:45 p.m. and June 7 from 1:00–1:45 p.m., attendees are invited to join a high-energy Zumba class led by Equinox Gym. Available on a first-come, first-served basis while space lasts.
- Auction — On May 31 from 3:00–4:30 p.m., bid on exclusive items and experiences, including hotel stays, fitness perks, and fine dining.
- Fashion Show — On May 31 from 8:00–9:00 p.m., see upcycled designs take the runway in a show spotlighting D.C.-based talent and circular fashion innovation.
- Style Workshops — Attendees can participate in hands-on interactive workshops covering photography, modeling and clothing mending.
- Vogue Dance Party — On June 8 from 6:00–8:00 p.m., sip themed cocktails, enjoy live drag performances, and dance into the evening with D.C.’s finest DJs and performers.

We’re thrilled to present such a diverse range of activities that will inspire and delight.”
PRISM will feature appearances by an exciting lineup of special guests whose influence spans art, activism, and entertainment, including:
- Kevin Aviance — Legendary DJ and nightlife icon who will keep the energy high as host and performer.
- Danny Franzese — Actor and activist, widely known for his role in Mean Girls, brings his signature charisma while hosting select events throughout the festival.
- Saad Amer — Environmental justice advocate whose work mobilizes global action around inclusivity and sustainability.
“Three years ago, I started hosting swaps at LGBTQIA+ events and venues in Washington, DC,” says Mark Haver, Founder of BlueGreen Generation and Global Fashion Exchange Youth Program Co-founder. “Welcoming the world into DC to showcase our fabulous communities for fashion, sustainability, and LGBTQIA+ at World Pride is a dream come true.”
PRISM at Anthem Row is produced by the DowntownDC BID with generous support from the Office of the Deputy Mayor for Planning and Economic Development (DMPED), Global Fashion Exchange (GFX), Rogues Gallery Presents, The Westin DC Downtown and the Mayor’s Office of LGBTQ Affairs (MOLGBTQA).
All events at PRISM are FREE and open to the public. Workshops and classes are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Events will be located at Anthem Row, 800 K Street NW, Washington, DC 20001.
