The DowntownDC BID hopes your 2024 is off to a great start! Our community looks forward to doing even more #BIDThings in this new year like creating exciting events and programming for those who live, work and visit downtown, launching a new effort to enable clean and safe initiatives, supporting new retail and dining destinations, reimagining the future of downtown D.C. through the work of our Downtown Action Plan, and providing support and critical services to our neighbors in need.

Speaking of support, the DowntownDC Foundation has started the year celebrating a major win thanks to your generosity. We're pleased to share that our 501(c)3 exceeded its December 31 fundraising goal of raising $75,000 for its #ISupportDowntownDC campaign and raised a total of $107,095! Your donations will contribute to the vitality of our DowntownDC community at a critical time for our neighborhood.

The BID recently launched a Request for Proposals for our marketing and rebranding initiative. Firms are invited to submit proposals.

But wait, there's more! We invite you to watch (or revisit) some of our best moments of 2023 and just wait until you see what we have in store for 2024! Then, continue reading to see what exciting things are already underway in the heart of the District.

Learn about efforts to reimagine the Gallery Place-Chinatown neighborhood. Mayor Muriel Bowser launched the Gallery Place-Chinatown Task Force, an initiative that will envision, plan, and implement strategies for the immediate activation, long-term development, and investment in the Gallery Place-Chinatown neighborhood.

To enhance this collaborative effort, the DowntownDC BID invites you to participate in our Gallery Place-Chinatown Survey if you haven't already. Your feedback is crucial in guiding our collective initiatives to fortify and enhance this vibrant area. So join us in building a stronger and brighter future for Gallery Place-Chinatown! #BeDowntown
