Join CulturalDC on Thursday, May 22 from 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. to celebrate the launch of MIGHTY MIGHTY: The Barbershop Project with an evening of music, refreshments, and community! This vibrant installation by Devan Shimoyama transforms CulturalDC’s Mobile Art Gallery into a dynamic barbershop space for visibility, healing, and connection.
Our partners at Us Helping Us—a local nonprofit dedicated to improving the health and well-being of Black LGBTQ+ communities through HIV/STI prevention, care, mental health services, and more—will be on hand providing free STD/HIV screenings, resources, and giveaways throughout the event.
Come experience the installation, meet the team behind the project, and be part of this exciting kick-off to World Pride season! Free and open to the public.
