Get cozy in DowntownDC's newest café, Maman! Its menu highlights many childhood favorites from the south of France and North America like farmhouse granola parfaits and grand-maman's oatmeal. This "home-away-from-home" vibe whether you live, work or are visiting downtown and the antique provincial decor and spacious dining room is perfect for quick workday retreats, holiday shopping pitstops, and everything in between. Maman is conveniently located in Penn Quarter at 750 9th Street NW.

Two letters we're glad to see. We are thrilled to share the news that H&M is making a return to Downtown DC! After bidding farewell to its longtime location in the Woodward & Lothrop Building this past summer, the popular and affordable fashion retailer is coming back to the Woodies Building in fall of 2024.

For now, H&M is temporarily open in the former Gap storefront at 664 11th Street NW, promising a fresh and exciting shopping experience. We’re glad to see H&M back in Penn Quarter, which only means one thing... more holiday shopping!

We're excited to share that the initial steps of the DowntownDC Pedestrian Safety and Experience Study are complete in Chinatown Park and along 7th Street between F and G streets NW! As we continue to improve the pedestrian experience and overall safety in downtown D.C., we'd love to hear your feedback which will help shape the future direction of this project.
