WASHINGTON, D.C. The DowntownDC Business Improvement District (BID) is proud to launch DC Workeries, a new outdoor work and meeting experience, in partnership with DC-based startup WorkChew with connectivity provided by Verizon Business. The new work experience allows participants to book workspace in inspiring outdoor venues, providing its members with a fresh new way to work downtown.

DC Workeries opened its first downtown location on Monday, Aug. 23, 2021 at Eaton House, located at the corner of K and 12th Streets NW. DC Workeries will operate Monday – Friday from 11 AM – 5 PM. While Eaton House is the first DC Workeries venue, future DC Workeries locations are underway. DC Workeries is powered by Verizon’s 4G LTE network, offering a fast, fixed wireless internet connection. LTE Business Internet is used by small and medium-sized businesses and enterprises that need fast, reliable connectivity to power remote workspaces, business offices or retail locations.

“We are thrilled to partner with WorkChew and Verizon Business to provide the DowntownDC community with the opportunity to work and meet at some of our inspiring destination hotels and restaurants,” said BID President & CEO Neil Albert. “After over a year of working remotely due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we believe that professionals will welcome the option of outdoor workspace as they return to work in DowntownDC.”

“Over the past year and a half, we have been committed to helping businesses of all sizes recover and reimagine the way they work with technology. Our partnership with the DowntownDC Business Improvement District to provide best-in-class reliable connectivity to this new outdoor work experience is a testament to this commitment,” stated Mark Tina, Vice President of Sales for Verizon Business’ Eastern region.

In addition to having access to a beautiful outdoor workspace in DowntownDC, DC Workeries members receive discounted food and drink at Eaton House’s own Baker’s Daughter café. The DowntownDC BID is offering 350 free DC Workeries memberships on a first-come, first-served basis. Both individual and team memberships are available.
