Cultural Tourism DC involves visitors to the District of Columbia in the rich heritage and culture of the entire city of Washington. Founded in 1996, the Coalition became an independent, nonprofit corporation in 1999. Today it counts as members nearly every museum and cultural organization found in every ward in the city as well as neighborhood groups, community development corporations, faith-based organizations, Metro, the National Capital Region of the National Park Service, professional tour guides, and the city's official marketing entities.
