Get Around

It's easy enough to get around Downtown by foot or on transit. Now there's a new dimension to traveling beyond the National Mall to nearby areas of interest - the DC Circulator, a brand new service to take you from point A to point C both inexpensively and quickly. For the $1.00 fare, you can travel from Union Station to Downtown to Georgetown via K Street in short order; from the Washington Convention Center to the SW Waterfront via 7th and 9th Streets in a "DC" minute! Catch the big red bus... and circulate!

You've got a lot of choices for your trip to Downtown DC - eight Metrorail stations, Metrobus stops on almost every block, public parking garages, curbside and garage bicycle parking, and pedestrian friendly streets. The Downtown BID's online transportation services can help you plan your trip regardless of your mode of travel. Our SAM's are on the Downtown streets to assist you when you arrive, Monday through Saturday from 7:30 am -10:00 pm and 8 am - 9 pm on Sundays.
