Saturday Morning at the National: Carrie's Dream

Date: Sat, September 13th 2008
Time: 9:30 am and 11:00 am
Website : www.nationaltheatre.org
Location: National Theatre

This is the engaging true story of an African American girl growing up in the rural South during the early 20th century. Highly interactive, with Southern songs and sing-a-longs, the performance reflects the warmth, humor, pathos and struggles of family life in a segregated society.

Charisma Wooten directs her adaptation of the book by B. LaVerne Wilkin. This performance occurs in conjunction with Arts On Foot.
