To facilitate an informed dialogue about plans for the K Street corridor the Downtown BID is providing our colleagues and other interested parties with this collection of publicly available studies.

Created by the DC Office of Planning for a presentation at the Greater Washington Board of Trade in 2004. Depicts elements of great streets and how they apply to K Street.

Created by the National Capital Planning Commission. Summarizes the results of a 2.5 day design charette for K Street in 2004.

K Street Busway - Status Update and New Alternative
Golden Triangle and Downtown BIDs
10/4/06

Created by the Golden Triangle and Downtown BIDs in 2006, this presentation offered a design alternative to the 2003-4 DDOT proposal for K Street. This alternative design concept was informed by the low profile, flexible transitways in Paris.

These design concepts and land use vision resulted from a DC Office of Planning and District Department of Transportation charrette in April 2009. The objective is to establish a framework for commissioning a design for K Street that addresses local mobility needs while achieving the vitality associated with the great multi-modal streets of the world.
