Culture and Entertainment

Downtown Washington DC is home to some of the finest art galleries, museums and theaters in the world. Many of these institutions are historic, nationally-renowned treasures, such as the National Archives. Additionally, a growing number of specialized local venues, such as the Wolly Mammoth and Shakespeare Theaters, enrich downtown's cultural landscape in the evening. These, coupled with activities at the MCI and Convention Centers, provide something for everyone both day and night. The Culture and Entertainment section provides attendance information for Downtown's prominent cultural establishments.
