Seven New Members Join the DowntownDC BID Board of Directors

WASHINGTON, DC – The Downtown Business Improvement District (BID) Corporation, a private, non-profit organization that provides capital improvements, services, resources and research to help diversify the economy and enhance the Downtown experience for all, announced new Board of Directors members for fiscal year 2013.

At the BID’s first quarterly Board meeting of the new fiscal year, attended by Mayor Vincent C. Gray, the following individuals were appointed to fill current vacancies and begin serving immediately, subject to election by the membership at the June 2013 annual meeting:

One-year term ending on September 30, 2013

  • Ann Chisholm, District of Columbia government relations officer, Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA)
  • William G. Dowd, acting regional commissioner, Public Buildings Service, U.S. General Services Administration, NCR

Three-year term ending on September 30, 2015

  • Ed Baten, general manager, W Hotel

In addition, the membership elected several individuals at the June 2012 annual meeting, who officially began serving on October 1, 2012. They are Gus Di Millo, partner, Passion Food Group; Mary Riner, external relations, Basis Charter School; Paige T. Dunn, regional director of sales and marketing, Kimpton Hotels Mid-Atlantic & Southeast; and Brandon Ernst, executive senior vice president, Lincoln Property Company.
