Join the DowntownDC BID for a free, professional workout for no cost at all every Wednesday this summer when the BID’s Workout Wednesdays series returns to Franklin Park!
Starting Wednesday, June 18, Crunch Fitness (555 12th Street NW) will lead a workout in the park (at 13th & K streets NW) every Wednesday at 5:30 p.m. for anybody and everybody who wants to join, regardless of their fitness level.
Circuit Training? Yoga? Zumba? We’ll mix up routines each week to keep your workouts fun and your fitness level challenged.
Get ready for Zumba on June 18, followed by Vinyasa Yoga June 25 and Conditioning on July 2.
Come dressed to work out, bring a mat and sponsors Freshii (1015 15th Street NW) will provide the water and fruit and Sports Zone Elite (675 H Street NW) will be on hand to talk about gear.
The BID debuted Workout Wednesdays in the summer of 2013 and drew upwards of 75 participants at various classes. This year, the BID encourages participants to share their experiences with @downtowndcbid and use #workoutwednesdays to be part of the conversation and the Workout Wednesdays community.
Interested attendees are encouraged to check the BID’s Facebook page or the BID’s website for updates on weekly classes.
Workout Wednesdays is part of the BID’s ongoing effort to enliven Franklin Park with dynamic programming as the park undergoes a significant renovation with support from the BID, the National Park Service, the D.C. Office of Planning and the District Department of Parks and Recreation. Potential design enhancements for the nearly 5-acre park include an interactive fountain, a children’s play area, restrooms and a cafe as well as reconfigured pathways.
