The 193-room Donovan House at 1115 14th Street is no longer a Thompson Hotels property. Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants added the boutique-style hotel to its roster last month. And what an impressive roster it is. The company, which operates Hotel Monaco (700 F Street) and Hotel George (15 E Street) in Downtown, will lightly refresh the property’s interior spaces and rooftop bar area. The Donovan House will now offer favorite Kimpton programs and amenities such as the hosted evening wine reception, animal print robes, Kimpton InTouch loyalty program perks, pet-friendly practices, and Kimpton’s EarthCare program, which includes more than 100 eco-friendly operating practices. The hotel is home to Zentan, where celebrity chef Susur Lee creates Asian-inspired cuisine.
