The DowntownDC BID office is delighted to introduce two new staff members: Dennis Blackledge and Adrian Saunders.

Dennis, director of operations for the National Cherry Blossom Festival, is responsible for focusing on the business activities of the organization. Previously, he worked for 13 seasons as the production director with the National Council for the Traditional Arts, the nation’s oldest folk arts organization. Dennis has produced, directed, created and managed a wide variety of performing arts endeavors nationwide for more than two decades, and is most proud of his work with the Tony Award-winning Trinity Repertory Company in Providence, RI, and Arena Stage. He created the nationally distributed radio program Rock and Roll Heaven and earned a BA in theatre and communications from Rhode Island College.

Adrian is the digital and social media manager in the BID’s Communications Department, where he manages, designs, and coordinates all media and design projects, including videos and photography, and furthers the organization’s social media presence and reach. Prior to joining the BID, he was a visual information specialist with the District Department of Transportation (DDOT) and also worked as a freelance graphic designer and staff designer with Blackburn Architects. Adrian has a BS in architecture from Catholic University and recently completed graduate classes there to receive a Master of Architecture.
