Experience the Washington International Horse Show at the Verizon Center (601 F Street) on Tuesday, October 25 through Sunday, October 30. This is no dog and pony show. Horse enthusiasts will get the chance to see Olympic-class horses and riders and partake in Kids Day, Barn Night, special exhibitions, and more.

This championship extravaganza celebrates its 53rd year in the Washington metropolitan area and its 12th in Downtown. Bound to amuse: the show jumping and hunter and equitation competitions, as well as terrier races, bull riding and dressage–all are a must see!

Kids Day, located in a tent outside the Verizon Center on Saturday, October 29, offers the little ones free pony rides, drawings for prizes, a book nook and the chance to see a horse grooming station from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm. The kid-centric Barn Night will return at 6:30 pm on Thursday, October 27, welcoming local barns as well as horse enthusiasts. Competitions, special exhibitions, contests for kids and teens—including banner and costume challenges—will dominant the evening.
