The Washington Kastles will return to their temporary stadium on the west side of the Old Convention Center site on H Street between 9th and 11th Streets. The July 7th home opener features Venus Williams. Other tennis greats will also appear throughout the season, which runs through July 26.
The Washington Kastles, the first DC-based team in the World Team Tennis (WTT) league, are located in a unique stadium where fans can see all the action up-close and personal in the heart of Downtown. In addition to Venus Williams, tennis aficionados will be able to spy Anna Kournikova on July 8; Serena Williams, 2009 Wimbledon women’s single champ, on July 14; and John McEnroe on July 16. The Kastles will host the 2009 Advanta WTT Finals on July 26.
