Live! on Woodrow Wilson Plaza will return for its twelfth season to the Ronald Reagan Building and International Trade Center (1300 Pennsylvania Avenue) on Wednesday, June 6th, for two months of free lunchtime musical entertainment and special events. Guess who won’t have to take the midnight train from Georgia to perform live on opening day? That’s right, the one and only Gladys Knight!

The hot summertime fun will run from noon to 1:30 pm every Monday through Thursday, until August 2nd. Grammy Award-winning artist Knight, fresh off of her season on ABC’s Dancing with the Stars, will belt out her greatest hits made as a solo artist and with The Pips, her backup singers. Who doesn’t remember “I Heard it Through the Grapevine” and “If I Were Your Woman”?  Head over to Woodrow Wilson Plaza to hear much, much more.

And wear your dancing shoes. The summer celebration is presented by Trade Center Management Associates and will feature international music, dance, comedy and special events, including a tribute to legendary Chuck Brown, the Godfather of Go-Go, who was a Live! regular before his death on May 16.  Once again, expect a range of musical flavors, from classical piano, jazz and Latin swing to African dance, pop rock and R&B.
