Madame Tussauds is now open in the historic Woodies building at 1025 F Street. The premier wax museum added Downtown DC to its list of great cities – including London, Las Vegas, New York and Hong Kong – to feature life-size wax replicas of celebrities, politicians, athletes and more.

Six new figures were created especially for the $16 million museum, five of which include Thomas Jefferson, Harry Truman, Robert E. Lee, J. Edgar Hoover and Washington Post reporter Bob Woodward. Elected in a landslide man-on-the-street vote, former Mayor Marion Barry is the sixth new figure to join George Washington and others in the “Spirit of Washington, DC” exhibit room.

To visit, patrons will not need VIP passes to party with George Clooney and Beyonce Knowles or a security clearance to shake hands with the President, only the $25 entrance fee and a camera to capture the memories are required.
