DowntownDC LIVE! is back for its second year, offering free access to some of the best live performances of the summer!

This second annual concert series, brought to you by the DowntownDC Business Improvement District (BID), provides the public with free lunchtime concerts every Thursday from 12:30-1:30 in Franklin Park (13th and I streets NW) from June 1-July 27. Attendees can grab lunch from a nearby restaurant, a food truck at the park or bring their own and enjoy an hour-long concert in the sunshine.

Enjoy bassist Tarus Mateen on July 13, presented by Capital Fringe. Akua Allrich, a local jazz singer, originally scheduled to perform July 6, has been rescheduled for Aug. 10 due to a rain cancellation. Allrich is also presented by Capital Fringe.

On July 20, come out to see Jenna Camille, presented by DC Public Library. Camille is a producer, songwriter, vocalist pianist and drummer who carefully blends electronic, jazz, electronica, rock, pop, soul, funk, R&B and hip-hop.

Then, get ready for the big finale. On July 27, enjoy Southeast DC's own Black Alley, brought to you by D.C. Music Download. Black Alley was the first to coin the genre #HoodRock, uniquely composed of hip-hop, soul and rock. The band has worked with music legends like Grammy Award nominee Raheem DeVaugh and hip-hop artist Common.

Don't miss this incredible July line-up!

DowntownDC has the beats that will keep you boppin' all summer long!
