Outdoor shopping, more than 150 artisans, live music, treats and festivities are returning to DowntownDC this month when the annual Downtown Holiday Market, celebrating its 10th year, opens on Black Friday, Nov. 28.

From noon to 8pm daily from Nov. 28-Dec. 23, shoppers can stroll through the unique marketplace near 8th and F Streets NW in DowntownDC and discover new artists, jewelers, clothiers, potters and more.

Shoppers will find something new each day! A rotating list of vendors means that shoppers will discover a new combination of 60 vendors daily and the musical lineup will never be the same. Knits from De*Nada Design, photography from Avner Ofer Photography, paintings from Quest Skinner, global crafts from Mundo Village and gift foods from The Capital Candy Jar are among the items featured this year.

Enjoy holiday rock, blues, jazz and more at the market stage from local acts including DuPont Brass, Hot Club of DC, Ian Walters & Friends and more.

While shopping, enjoy festive food and drink from local vendors during the duration of the market.

The market, produced by the DowntownDC BID in partnership with Diverse Markets Management, is committed to environmental sustainability and will be powered by bio-diesel fuel generators, printed materials will be on 100 percent post-consumer recycled materials and fair trade and sustainable gifts will be plentiful.

So, come out this holiday season to shop, find your perfect gifts, have fun and support local artisans while enjoying DowntownDC.

The Downtown Holiday Market is supported by WAMU 88.5, 97.1 WASH-FM and the Washington City Paper.
