Are you ready for some basketball? Better get your tickets now for the 17th Annual BB&T Classic set to roll into the Verizon Center (601 F Street) on Sunday, December 4. Virginia Commonwealth University, a 2011 Final Four team, will face off against George Washington University.
In addition, the University of Maryland will shuffle (maybe even scuffle?) down the court with Big East powerhouse University of Notre Dame. Definitely not a bad way to begin the college basketball season in DC!
The doubleheader and “The BasketBALL” black-tie event on Saturday, December 3, at the Washington Marriott Wardman Park hotel, will benefit the Children’s Charities Foundation, which supports Washington-area charitable organizations. Sponsoring a table or buying a ticket to the gala will not only get you priority seating at the game but also the chance to hobnob with players, coaches and other bigwigs.
