Zengo (781 7th Street), the Latin-Asian restaurant in Chinatown, will soon move to a different beat when it revamps its space and offers up the Latin Lounge next week. Regulars and newcomers alike can expect to find a subterranean bar, personalized bottles (yep, you can buy your own and have it stored for future visits), communal tables, DJs offering a Latin groove, and new menu offerings. Chef Richard Sandoval told Drink DC that he’s looking to copy the “lively and social meals that are reminiscent of large gatherings of friends and family when I was growing up in Mexico, where everyone would share, talk and interact.” Sounds like fun.
