March 2, 2018

The DowntownDC Business Improvement District (BID) in March will release a redesigned and updated outreach services information card of resources to assist individuals experiencing homelessness in DowntownDC and those in need of supportive services. The card, printed with water-resistant coating, offers a map and information on Downtown service locations offering food, showers, laundry facilities, legal and employment support and mental healthcare. The card also lists emergency hotlines and contact information for additional service centers in the District, including veteran-specific services.

The outreach services information card is a valuable resource that will be used by Pathways to Housing DC’s DowntownDC street outreach team and by the BID’s Homeless Outreach Service Team comprised of specially-trained Safety/Hospitality and Maintenance ambassadors who comprise the Homeless Outreach Service Team.

Funding for the new outreach services card was provided by G4S Secure Solutions.

The new card will soon be available at various partner and service provider locations as well as our SAM office (1229 New York Avenue) and by request from SAM Dispatch, 202-624-1550.
