The twinkling town of little white tents are lining the sidewalk alongside the Smithsonian Portrait Gallery once again, for the DowntownDC BID’s 9th annual Downtown Holiday Market.
On Black Friday, November 29, the festive outdoor marketplace on F Street between 7th and 9th Streets NW opened begining a 25-day run, open daily from noon to 8 p.m. More than 150 exhibitors and artisans (rotating on a weekly basis) sell a variety of unique gifts including fine art, crafts, jewelry, pottery, photography and clothing. Discover quality items from around the world and around the corner, sold by local fashion trendsetters, regional artists and boutique businesses. Can’t decide what to buy? Downtown Holiday Market Dollars (gift certificates) are also available for purchase.
Don’t miss this Downtown gem! While shopping, enjoy hot beverages, tasty treats, and free live entertainment under the sparkling holiday lights. Music highlights include world-class blues from the Billy Thompson Band, roots rock from the award-winning Janine Wilson Band, and lively swing from the Hot Buttered Nuggets.
