Who’s Bad?

Release Date: Tuesday, January 31st 2012

Michael Jackson, of course. And Madame Tussauds (1025 F Street) hopes all the good people in DC, and those who visit, will turn out for its first limited engagement traveling exhibit, The Michael Jackson (MJ) Experience, running through March 13. The exhibit features three MJ wax figures created during various stages of his career—The Jackson Five Years, The Bad Era, and the "This Is It" Michael. All told, the King of Pop was sculpted six different times and is the most widely exhibited figure in Madame Tussauds’s worldwide collection. Who knew the Gloved One’s relationship with the museum spanned a quarter of a century? In related news, Madame Tussauds will unveil a mystery historical figure this month during Black History Month. The individual in question lived nearly a century ago and was a true mentor to those fighting for civil rights. Think you know who this person is? Shhhh, don’t tell!
