Traffic Flow

Release Date: Tuesday, August 25th 2009

The District Department of Transportation (DDOT) will hold a freight stakeholder meeting on Wednesday, September 2, from 10:00 am to noon at the Reeves Building. Weigh in on how to better manage and improve the flow of truck traffic throughout DC.

Trucks account for more than 90% of the freight traveling within DC. Identifying ways to allow freight to move in and out of the city efficiently is vital to the region’s economic health and quality of life. This meeting will focus on the various ongoing initiatives regarding motor carrier operations, specifically delivery issues, parking, enforcement, truck routes and future policy considerations.

Input from the business community is welcome and will be instrumental in developing future policies.

The meeting will take place on the 6th floor of the Reeves Building, located at 2000 14th Street. To RSVP, e-mail eulois.cleckley@dc.gov, or call 202.671.0682
