Short Films Blitz

Get ready for a whirlwind sampling of short films starting September 11 through September 18. That’s when the DC Shorts Film Festival kicks off its fifth year, offering film aficionados a treasure trove of 102 cinematic wonders, including many local movies and some from eight different countries. For your listening pleasure, half a dozen screenplays will also be read during the Festival. Love filmmakers? Here’s your chance to help put up some of the more than 165 filmmakers who are coming to town. So, if you have a spare bed, sofa bed or even room to set up an air mattress, a future Steven Spielberg would appreciate it. In return for your hospitality, you will receive tickets to a screening and a party of your choice and access to the Festival’s Filmmaker Lounge. See you in Hollywood, oops, we mean the Landmark E Street Cinema or another one of the film venues for the Festival.
