Join Sister to Sister’s Bike for the Heart on Sunday, October 11. Don’t break our hearts —the merriment begins at the Verizon Center at 8:00 am.
 
Sister to Sister: The Women’s Heart Health Foundation increases awareness about the number one cause of death among women—heart disease. The Bike for the Heart fundraiser helps to raise thousands of dollars to combat the disorder and fund screenings, education and health empowerment efforts.
 
So get ready to enjoy the ride of a lifetime down Pennsylvania Avenue. There are three events to choose from:

1)  America’s Main Streeter: Family-friendly, five-mile ride past the US Capitol and White House;
2)  Arena Spinathon: The ultimate spinning experience on the floor of the Verizon Center; and
3)  Heart of the Nation Time Trial: a five-mile race past the nation’s most recognizable landmarks.
 
Everyone who participates receives two tickets to a Wizards game, a T-shirt, a water bottle and a one-month free membership to a Sport & Health Club. Top fundraisers—including corporate teams, individual teams and top individual participant or top family teams—also can win great prizes. The prizes range from a suite at the Wizards game to airline travel vouchers and bikes.
