WASHINGTON, DC – The Downtown DC Business Improvement District (BID) has re-launched its website at www.downtowndc.org. The site’s updated design features current news about Downtown development and events as well as BID services and programs.
Now users can follow their interests much more easily, with opportunities to find research and reports on Downtown’s economy; connect to Downtown businesses; explore historic, cultural or entertainment offerings; and find out about neighborhood activities.
New features include:
Visitors to the site will still be able to list organizational events on the calendar by clicking on the “Submit An Event” tab and share stories about their own greening or branding experiences on special pages devoted to these topics.
“This is a new look for a new decade,” said Richard H. Bradley, executive director of the Downtown BID. “The redesign creates opportunities for greater convenience and user interaction, enabling stakeholders to promote their offerings and, at the same time, retrieve resources, news and information with relative ease. We are striving to make our site the first stop for anyone seeking Downtown business information.”
The site is built upon Geocentric’s Webby Award-winning Citylight, a location-driven, map-based platform designed especially for Business Improvement Districts and Convention and Visitor Bureaus. The graphic design is from DC-area powerhouse BrowserMedia.
