The DowntownDC BID office is happy to introduce two new staff members: Blake Holub and Roz Christina Moore.
Blake is the new quality control manager in the Public Space Management department. He is responsible for developing systems to manage public space assets and uses, reporting and following up on defects within the public realm, developing inventories and rating systems, creating priorities for responses, and managing and ensuring the overall quality of public space. Blake also assists with security initiatives and other projects. Prior to joining the BID, he worked with the DC Department of Consumer and Regulatory Affairs (DCRA) as a program analyst in the Office of Vacant Property. A graduate of Sam Houston State University, Blake recently earned his master’s degree in public administration from Arizona State, where he also acquired experience with the Arizona League of Cities and Towns.
Roz, the sponsorship manger for the National Cherry Blossom Festival, works with the Festival president to cultivate, solicit and further the Festival’s relationships with sponsors, donors and prospects. Previously, she volunteered on the 2012 Festival Auction Committee and was instrumental in helping secure auction donors and setting up the online auction website. Her relationship with the Festival began in 2008 while serving as the marketing community outreach manager with Westwood College, where she managed and executed the school’s Festival contract. Roz is also the former owner of Dwellings, a DC-based gift and home furnishings store, and has worked in managerial positions with The Seagram Beverage Co. and the Global Environment Fund. A magna cum laude graduate of the University of Maryland with degrees in French and International Business, she also has an MBA in marketing from Westwood College. The BID’s Events department staffs the National Cherry Blossom Festival and produces the Downtown Holiday Market and Arts on Foot.
