Kiddie Treat

Those clever marketers over at Destination DC (901 7th Street) have produced a new summertime culinary experience—DC Restaurant Week for Kids, premiering at several Downtown restaurants from Sunday, June 20 to Sunday, June 27.

The one-week promotion is billed as a family experience and treat for the little ones. Children aged 11 and under will be able to eat special meals during lunch and/or early dinner, between 5:00 pm and 6:30 pm. The cost of a meal will equal the age of the child—if it’s purchased with an adult entrée.

The concept is a new twist on Washington, DC Restaurant Week, the biannual and much-anticipated adult gourmet event, sponsored by Destination DC and the Restaurant Association of Metropolitan Washington (RAMW).
